Construction of a new factory begins near Łódź
The SEGRO development company is beginning construction of a new facility tailored to the needs of Corning Optical Communications Polska in Stryków. This will be the company’s third production and logistics building at this location.
The new investment will have over 35,000 square meters of space. Once completed, Corning’s total operational space at SEGRO Logistics Park Stryków will exceed 115,000 square meters. The facility is expected to begin operations in the second half of 2026.
Two Decades of Collaboration
Corning and SEGRO have been collaborating since 2006. Corning was the first customer at SEGRO Logistics Park Stryków and the first SEGRO customer in Poland to receive a dedicated facility.
Following the launch of the first facility, the company expanded its operations in 2018, opening a second facility in the same location. Now, the time has come for the third phase of development.
According to the company, Corning’s operations in Stryków include manufacturing and key logistics operations supporting the needs of the EMEA region and the development of AI-powered data centers.
“Our presence in Stryków is a story of stable growth. The decision to lease a third facility stems from the need to increase production capacity in response to the demand for modern fiber optic solutions,” comments Arkadiusz Pawlak, OCS EMEA Expansion Program Manager at Corning Optical Communications Polska.
SEGRO Logistics Park Stryków is one of the key warehouse and industrial investments in central Poland. The park covers 87 hectares and will ultimately offer nearly 400,000 square meters of space. Its advantage is its location – just 3 km from the A1 and A2 motorway junction – which has long attracted tenants from the logistics, manufacturing, and new technology sectors.
