Greenyard develops logistics in Gliwice

Greenyard Logistics Poland is beginning construction on a modern frozen warehouse in Gliwice. This strengthens its position in the dynamically growing frozen food logistics segment.

  • The new facility is being constructed as part of the second phase of the Marq Gliwice II Logistics Centre investment, of which nearly 12,000 square meters will be adapted to Greenyard’s specific operational processes.
  • Locating it in one of the most industrialized regions of Poland will provide the company with improved accessibility and faster customer service.
  • The investment is a response to growing market demand and the company’s ambitious expansion plans in the cold chain logistics sector.

Greenyard Logistics Poland’s Specialization in Food Logistics

Greenyard Logistics Poland focuses on handling food products, particularly meat and processed meat, fish, ice cream, bakery products, and fruit and vegetables. The company manages logistics for three product classes – frozen, fresh, and ultra-fresh – with an emphasis on the first two. Its experience is confirmed by numerous certifications and a network of three logistics centers located in Gdańsk, Poznań, and Warsaw.

Comprehensive transport and forwarding services

Delivering food products requires efficient and diversified transport channels. Greenyard offers domestic FTL transport and groupage distribution of chilled and frozen products, as well as international FTL and LTL transport. These services are complemented by global sea freight operations operated by major European container terminals.

Why Gliwice?

Growing demand and the filling of existing warehouse space prompted the company to build a new facility in southern Poland. The Gliwice location will increase service availability for regional clients, diversify volumes, and shorten the supply chain. The new warehouse will also reduce LTL distribution costs, expand the transport network – including to neighboring countries – and offer additional services such as co-packing and shock freezing.

Advanced Infrastructure for the New Warehouse

The facility under construction has been designed with the most demanding refrigeration operations in mind. It will feature:

  • box-in-box freezers,
  • pre-freezers,
  • suspended ceilings with enhanced insulation,
  • a refrigeration machine room,
  • an ammonia-glycol system with a dehumidification system.

The floor will be prepared for mobile racking, and an 800 kWp photovoltaic installation will be installed on the roof.

The entire Marq Gliwice II Logistics Centre investment, covering 58,000 sq m, is being developed in partnership with Merity Funds, with BREMER Polska serving as the general contractor.
