Bielsko-Biała with a large data center investment

A billion-dollar data center is being built in Bielsko-Biała, which could become one of the largest such facilities in Central Europe. The investment is intended to strengthen Poland’s position in the race for key infrastructure for cloud, AI, and digital services.

  • A Katowice-based developer plans to spend approximately one billion dollars in Bielsko-Biała to build one of the largest data centers in this part of Europe.
  • The investment is to be built on the site of a former Fiat factory and could ultimately reach over 200 MW of capacity.
  • The project has a strong energy base from the outset, including its own 82 MW power supply.
  • This investment has the potential to attract customers from the cloud, AI, and advanced digital services sectors.

Data Centers – the Heart of the Digital Economy

Digital transformation is pushing the world toward solutions based on artificial intelligence, cloud services, big data analysis, and applications requiring massive computing power and bandwidth. Data centers are becoming the foundation of the modern economy – places where information crucial to the functioning of companies, public institutions, and entire industrial sectors is processed and stored.

DL Invest Park Bielsko-Biała – a billion-dollar data center in a strategic location

One of the most important Polish digital infrastructure projects in recent years is being built on the site of the former Fiat factory in Bielsko-Biała. DL Invest Group, in collaboration with global provider of cloud gaming services and computing infrastructure, Boosteroid, has announced the construction of a data center worth approximately one billion dollars.

The project will be implemented in stages, with an initial IT capacity of 50–82 MW and the possibility of expansion to 200 MW or more. This makes the complex potentially one of the largest facilities of its kind in Central Europe.

The unique location and existing energy infrastructure – including its own 82 MW power supply – make the investment suitable for both global cloud service providers and companies developing AI technologies.

DL Invest Park Platan – Data Infrastructure Modernization in the Heart of Warsaw

At the same time, a digital modernization is underway in the capital. Platan Park Warszawa, acquired at the end of 2025 and renamed DL Invest Park Platan, includes a Tier III data center operated by Equinix, one of the global leaders in the colocation market.

The facility meets high standards of redundancy and availability, crucial for companies requiring uninterrupted system operation and data security. Its proximity to Chopin Airport and a wide range of service and warehouse spaces make the complex an attractive location for technology, logistics, and service companies.

Physical Security and the Strategic Importance of Data Centers

The location of data centers in Poland – a member of the EU and NATO – is of paramount importance to national and economic security. Facilities such as DL Invest Park Bielsko-Biała and Platan meet rigorous security standards, including:

  • Access control with multi-level identity verification. 24/7 monitoring and security, including alarm systems and physical security presence.
  • Resistance to external threats such as fires, floods, power outages, and physical attacks.
  • Strategic locations with access to stable energy and communications infrastructure.
  • This makes data centers a critical infrastructure element—supporting the financial sector, public administration, services, and defense systems, ensuring business continuity and data protection.

Digital transformation visible in the real world

DL Invest Group’s strategy, combining the construction of new data centers with the adaptation of existing high-value facilities, aligns with global trends. Investments in Bielsko-Biała and Warsaw emphasize that data infrastructure is one of the key pillars of economic development today.

Experts indicate that Poland has a real chance to become a digital hub for the region—provided the data and communications infrastructure continues to develop. This not only stimulates local labor markets and increases demand for IT specialists, but also serves as a magnet for international capital and cloud service providers.
