Sonko stays in Wrocław
Sonko has extended its lease at Prologis Park Wrocław, retaining its key production and logistics center. The lease extension covers 22,000 square meters of space, where rice and corn wafers are manufactured for markets in Poland and abroad.
- Sonko has been using the infrastructure at Prologis Park Wrocław since 2007, combining production and distribution in one location.
- The Wrocław location remains an efficient operational base, supporting the continued growth and stability of Sonko’s business.
Sonko has been developing its light snacks and cereal products offerings for 37 years, building a strong market position as a manufacturer of rice wafers, crispbread, and rice, among other products.
Sonko to Remain at Prologis Park Wrocław
The decision to remain at Prologis Park Wrocław allows the company to maintain continuity of production and distribution in a location that is well-integrated into the supply chain. This is particularly important for long-term growth. Since the ownership change in 2024, Sonko has operated as part of the international Euricom Group, while retaining its Polish roots. Its Lower Silesian base provides the company with a stable base for further expansion and efficient service to its trading partners in Poland and abroad.
“What seems like a simple, light snack to the consumer requires carefully planned production processes, rigorous quality control, and efficient logistics. At Prologis Park Wrocław, we combine production and logistics under one roof. This is where the entire production cycle of rice and corn wafers takes place—from receiving raw materials, through packaging and storage, to shipping finished products to trading partners. After nearly 20 years in this location, we remain with a proven address and a partner who truly understands the needs of our business,” said Jarosław Pieniak, member of the Sonko management board.
A Partnership That Doesn’t End with Lease
Nearly two decades of cooperation is a long time in the food business. During this period, the market and consumer expectations have evolved, along with Sonko’s portfolio and the way the facility operates. Such long-term relationships demonstrate that a well-chosen space is just the starting point.
“We are delighted that Sonko is staying at Prologis Park Wrocław for the coming years. For us, the foundation of such a lasting partnership is daily collaboration, which extends beyond the technical support of logistics parks. Our Facility Management teams are close to our clients: they discuss current needs, coordinate collaboration, and seek practical solutions. These conversations lead to concrete actions. In Sonko’s case, we have planned improvements that will improve the thermal insulation of the rooms and the comfort of office users,” said Marcin Kruszewski, Leasing Manager at Prologis.
As part of the contract extension, Prologis has planned extensive modernization work. This will include the installation of external window blinds, which will help maintain an optimal temperature inside the facility, as well as a comprehensive renovation of the office section and the replacement of all window frames with modern profiles with a lower heat transfer coefficient. The improvements will improve work comfort and translate into higher energy efficiency in the building.
Location Streamlines Daily Operations
Prologis Park Wrocław is located in the Kobierzyce commune, 15 km from Wrocław city center, 10 km from the airport, and directly on the A4 motorway. Its location at the Bielany Junction provides quick access to the region’s major routes: the A4 towards Germany, Krakow, and Ukraine, the S5/E261 towards Poznań and Prague, and the S8/E67 towards Warsaw and Vienna. For companies combining production, warehousing, and distribution, this translates into a more efficient supply chain—from goods receipt to shipping to domestic and international markets. Another key advantage of the park is its proximity to public transportation, facilitating daily commutes.
Prologis Park Wrocław features ample parking, two entrance gates, and ample maneuvering areas. The buildings are equipped to handle demanding manufacturing and logistics operations. They offer, among other things, 10 m clear height, 5 t/sq m floor load capacity, ESFR sprinkler system, external LED lighting, and remote media reading system. The park also meets the needs of food logistics companies, including operations requiring cold storage.
Following the extension of the contract with Sonko, approximately 7,000 sq m of available space, including office space, remains available at Prologis Park Wrocław.
