Logistics center launched near Łódź
The Hasco Group officially launched a new distribution and logistics center near the Stryków junction near Łódź. The investment was carried out by PCF Procefar, the company responsible for the distribution of Hasco-Lek pharmaceutical products. The project value was nearly PLN 80 million.
Construction began in early 2025. The facility was completed on schedule. The new center is designed to expand the company’s operational capabilities, streamline logistics, and shorten delivery times for pharmaceutical products.
“We are proud to conclude this stage of the investment and officially open the center. This project streamlines and strengthens our logistics processes, creating a coherent and scalable operating model for the coming years. As a result, we can operate faster, more efficiently, and with greater precision, which directly translates into the quality of our customer service and product availability. This is one of the key steps in implementing our long-term development strategy,” said Maciej Podraza, member of the Hasco-Lek management board.
First such technology in Poland
The most important element of the new center is the implementation of the A-Frame system with PUMA technology. This is the first solution of its kind implemented in Poland.
The technology automates the order picking process and allows for monitoring inventory levels, product replenishment rates, and warehouse batches. The system is integrated with a “put-to-light” solution, which supports operators with light signals during order picking.
The entire system has been integrated with the WMS warehouse management system, which is responsible for controlling product flow and organizing logistics processes.
“As an investor, we focused on implementing solutions that will significantly increase the efficiency of our distribution operations. For us, the new center offers improved production management and increased flexibility in customer service, which in practice translates into more efficient deliveries and higher quality service,” explained Maciej Wolski, Operations Director at PCF Procefar.
Over 8,000 sq m
The facility has 8,300 sq m of space. The operational area occupies nearly 1,000 sq m, while the warehouses cover over 5,500 sq m. The entire facility has been adapted to the requirements of Good Distribution Practice applicable in the pharmaceutical industry.
The general contractor for the project was Harden Construction. The center features solutions that maintain stable temperature and humidity parameters, essential for drug storage.
The building also has a BMS system for monitoring and managing technical installations. The facility is equipped with monitoring, access control, a fire alarm system, and LED lighting with DALI functionality, among other features.
“The construction of the center in Stryków is another strategic step that strengthens our position in the Łódź Voivodeship. This is Harden Construction’s eighth investment in this region and the second in the Stryków commune itself, which is the best confirmation of the trust investors have in us,” said Paweł Fiuczek, Managing Director of Harden Construction.
Automation in Pharmaceutical Logistics
ASTOR, which developed the automated pharmacy picking system, was responsible for implementing the technological solutions.
“We are delighted and proud to have been part of this investment and to support a Polish company in building a modern logistics facility. Projects like these demonstrate that the decisive advantage lies not in the technology itself, but in how it is utilized, and above all, in the cooperation and trust between the investor, the technology provider, and the contractor,” said Michał Wojtulewicz, ASTOR’s Vice President of the Management Board for Finance.
The new center will handle the distribution of Hasco-Lek pharmaceutical products and support the group’s further operational development.
