Pharmalink develops logistics in Łódź

Pharmalink’s new 26,000-square-meter logistics center integrates key operations and significantly expands the company’s warehousing capacity.

  • The launch of the facility in Łódź has allowed Pharmalink to double its warehouse logistics capacity and streamline distribution processes.
  • The center serves as its main operational hub, consolidating the company’s key activities in one location.
  • The investment is a key element of the company’s development strategy and strengthens its position in the Polish logistics services market.

New logistics center consolidating key operations

Pharmalink’s new logistics center combines a central transshipment facility, pharmaceutical and veterinary warehouses, a pharmaceutical wholesaler, and office space for the operational teams in one location. Previously, these functions were dispersed across several locations in Łódź, increasing the number of transfers and complicating processes. Consolidation is not just a change of address but a response to the growing scale of operations and a long-term strategy for developing the logistics network.

Doubling operational capacity and expanding its network in Poland

Thanks to the new facility, Pharmalink has doubled its warehouse logistics capabilities and streamlined the operation of its central transshipment facility. The new complex, spanning over 26,000 square meters, increases operational flexibility, enables handling larger volumes, and shortens decision-making processes. In parallel, the company is expanding its network of transshipment facilities – after Rzeszów and Olsztyn, further locations are planned: Warsaw, Bydgoszcz, and Kraków. This cohesive infrastructure directly translates into quality and timely distribution.

Technologies supporting safety and efficiency

The new center features an automated shipment sorting system and advanced monitoring of environmental parameters, such as temperature and humidity. Optimizing the warehouse and transshipment facility layout has shortened processing times and increased process stability. Technology supports teamwork, but its primary goal remains ensuring compliance with Good Distribution Practices and full control over drug storage conditions.

Infrastructure Compliant with ESG Standards

The center has been awarded a BREEAM Excellent certification, confirming high standards of energy efficiency and sustainable construction. The facility features CO₂-based cooling, photovoltaic installations, and solutions supporting the circular economy, such as processing packaging waste into logistics filler. The expansion of the network of transshipment chambers further reduces mileage and CO₂ emissions, aligning with the company’s ESG strategy.

New Investment as a Foundation for Competitive Advantage

The launch of the logistics center in Łódź allowed Pharmalink to integrate key operational functions and significantly increase its warehousing capacity. This is not only another stage in the company’s development, but also proof that modern infrastructure – alongside a competent team – is becoming a key element of competitive advantage in the pharmalogistics sector.
