Modern industry near Rzeszów

The opening of the new BSH factory in Rudna Wielka near Rzeszów is one of the largest industrial investments in recent months in the Podkarpacie region. The 73,000-square-meter facility, developed by Panattoni, confirms the growing position of the Rzeszów district as an attractive location for modern industry and logistics.

The BSH plant, opened in June, represents an investment worth a total of PLN 600 million and will create 1,000 jobs. The facility will expand production of Bosch cordless vacuum cleaners, including the top-of-the-line Unlimited 10 model, bagless and laundry appliances, and Tassimo capsule coffee machines. Next year, production will expand to include a new platform of Siemens automatic espresso machines.

Attracting such investment to the region is no accident. It is the result of years of efforts to develop infrastructure, prepare investment sites, and build a business-friendly environment.

“Our task is to create conditions conducive to investment. This means developing road and technical infrastructure, preparing areas for economic activity, and efficiently managing administrative processes. We are pleased that more and more companies are recognizing the potential of Rzeszów County and linking it with their long-term development plans. The benefits of these investments are primarily felt by residents, who gain new jobs and opportunities for professional development,” says Krzysztof Jarosz, Starost of Rzeszów.

From a Single Investment to an Ecosystem

The BSH factory is not the only example of the region’s development. In recent years, the county has attracted a number of projects representing various economic sectors – from industrial production and automotive to logistics and e-commerce.

A significant portion of these investments was implemented by Panattoni, which has already delivered 340,000 square meters of modern industrial and logistics space in Rzeszów County. Panattoni Park Rzeszów North was built in the northern part of the metropolitan area for the LPP Group. The Panattoni Park Rzeszów North II project is also under development, with space already leased by logistics operators and an automotive company. In the western part of the region, Panattoni Park Rzeszów West I operates, with tenants including Bosch, and Panattoni Park Rzeszów West II is currently planned. Meanwhile, near the airport in Jasionka, there are modern facilities used by BorgWarner and InPost.

Although these investments differ in scale and business profile, together they form a modern industrial and logistics ecosystem.

“Just a few years ago, Podkarpacie was perceived primarily as a regional market. Today, it is increasingly being chosen by companies operating on a European scale. We see this both in new investors and in companies that, after years of presence, decide to take their business development here,” says Michał Samborski, Head of Development at Panattoni.

Collaboration is the Foundation

Industrial real estate experts point out that the investment attractiveness of regions today is determined not only by land availability or location near major transport routes. The preparation of investment sites, the quality of technical infrastructure, and the efficiency of administrative processes are also increasingly important.

Rzeszów County benefits from a combination of many advantages. The A4 motorway and the S19 expressway, forming the international Via Carpatia corridor, run through the area. The region also boasts rail infrastructure, the developing Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport, and access to qualified personnel educated by universities and technical schools. Good cooperation between local governments and investors also plays a crucial role.

“Investors today expect not only a good location but also predictability and partnership. Efficient preparation of investment sites, good communication, and a willingness to jointly address challenges arising at various stages of the project are crucial. Rzeszów County has been building such an environment for years, which is reflected in subsequent investments,” emphasizes Michał Samborski.

As Krzysztof Jarosz points out, the region’s economic development is the result of consistent efforts undertaken jointly by local governments, entrepreneurs, and business support institutions.

“We want Rzeszów County to remain an attractive place for both investors and residents. That’s why we consistently invest in infrastructure, develop areas of economic activity, and create conditions for further projects that will strengthen the local economy and the job market,” summarizes Krzysztof Jarosz.
